Our Services
Softwave therapy delivers consecutive focused acoustic waves, which carry high energy impulses to painful or injured myoskeletal tissues. This therapy is useful with subacute, subchronic and chronic conditions.
The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues. Acoustic wave therapy is not a new concept, in fact, it is over 30 years old and was first used in medicine for the treatment of kidney stones (lithotripsy).
The main assets of Softwave therapy are fast pain relief and mobility restoration. As a non-invasive treatment and requiring no pain killers or medications, it is an ideal therapy to speed up recovery, treat pain and heal injuries.

The type of Softwave Therapy we utilize in our practice differs from that of other shockwave therapy, such as that used in kidney stone treatments, delivering unfocused waves of acoustic energy over a broad target. This allows us to most safely treat your condition.
Softwaves have the same or better clinical benefit as highly focused shockwaves for most medical conditions. A mechanism of this therapy is delivering shearing forces on the cell membranes making them permeable but keeping them intact, fooling the body into thinking an injury has occurred while initiating the natural biologic process of repair.
Immediately following treatment there is typically a significant reduction in pain, swelling and inflammation, as well as improved range of motion. Four to eight weeks after treatment there is an increase in blood vessels and circulation, which supports faster healing of tendon and bone. For up to twelve weeks following a treatment, there is a recruitment of stem cells to the treated area for the regeneration and healing of tissues.
I really market this for knee pain primarily because this is what I see the most of. Don't discount its effectiveness on hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists and the spine either. We have already seen some amazing results since we have gotten this machine in 2021. You may have to make a little drive to get here but you will thank yourself!
